Loving another person takes a lot of energy. It’s patience, commitment, effort, communication, honesty, and trust. It’s showing them the parts of yourself you don’t normally expose. It’s accepting their flaws because you know that their existence makes your life so much better. It’s keeping them company through the hard times, and sharing laughs through the good. It’s taking the risk of not knowing if there’s someone better out there, and being perfectly okay with that. It’s wanting to fix things instead of walking away. It’s always saying “I love you” back, and never letting it lose its meaning.
